Decent opening weekend for Americans in Europe. Puli started at the #10 and was active and impactful, but none of the chances he created led to goals. Musah came on as his sub, though, and did create the assist to level them. Flo had a lot of chances in his match too. None of his shots went in, but he generated a lot of chances. It'll be interesting to see if Wes is in the starting lineup today for Juve. The last few things I have read on him sound like he's staying and will be an instrumental piece to the puzzle there this season.

Did Timmy Weah pick up a knock last weekend? He got the start last week and isn't even on the team sheet today. Wes is on the bench again. Hopefully it's a short spell as he gets reacquainted with the side. I'm very nervous that this year could go for him like Puli's last year at Chelsea.

He was apparently injured prior to his goal last weekend which is why he came off soon after. Sounds like he’s out a couple of weeks.

Just saw where Forest have rejected multiple loan deals for Turner. They're holding out for a permanent transfer and I'm not sure they'll get it for what they're going to want in a transfer fee. Turner may languish in purgatory the first half of this year like Horvath did last year.

Matt Turner to Crystal Palace is a shocking turn of events. Forest were evidently set on securing a permanent transfer, but couldn't find one. The loan to Palace is much better than the ones to Championship sides, though, in terms of clout. Turner likely would have earned more minutes in the Championship as I'm not sure he'll win the starting job, but he should still feature in League Cup matches and the like with opportunities for some Premier League fixtures.

manUre allegedly want Jedi?

Austin Powers No GIF

He should say as far away from that cesspool as he can. If he keep upping his game, a legit big club will come in for him.

City were talking about targeting him last year. He's already boosted his profile to a high level. Definitely hope he stays out of Manchester altogether.

At this point, I’d just drop Reyna from the pool. He can’t stay healthy and doesn’t play. Reyna’s a huge talent, but he shouldn’t be keeping other players off the roster. I’d rather see Cade Cowell at this point anyway. Liga MX player of the month should get you a look with the Nats.

Sadly this. Best ability is availability, and Gio has almost no availability.

LMAO… lost at home to Canada for the first time in like 70 years. The game was beyond irrelevant but what a wasted international break with no coach in place yet.
Starting to wonder a bit why it is taking just so long to finalize things. If it starts taking much longer, I’ll start to wonder if it will actually happen.
