We need to cling to him like grim death.

He is so quick!..Agree we have to hold him. Side note the team they played St Thomas Moore is the home of 5 Star QB Walker Howard who threw a game winning TD in that game. Walker Howard and 5 Star OT Will Campbell (Ajay's Neville teammate) both had some legit interest in TCU but are LSU legacies. Ajay is still flying under the radar but he's going to have most everyone in the SEC on him in the next couple of months.

matthew golden had 5 catches for 115 yards and 1 td (30 yards) last night as klein cain hammered tomball memorial 63-14 to run their record to 5-1. cain is the favorite to win their district with 4 games to go in the regular season.

golden so far in 6 games has 42 catches for 768 yards (18.3 ypc) and 8 td's which is enough to lead houston area receivers in catches, yards, and receiving td's

sitting on hold did a quick search of where the other commits were playing this weekend

jaylon guilbeau (cb) and port arthur memorial (3-1, 1-0) travel to play goose creek memorial (1-3, 0-1) pa memorial opened district play beating la porte 34-0

dj allen (ath) and gladwater (2-2, 1-0) play new boston (alma mater of former frog jeff gladney) (3-2, 0-1) in classic small school style allen leads gladewater in rushing yards, passing yards, receiving yards, and among the leaders on defense for tackles

neville (3-1) and west monroe ( 2-1) play against each other in their district opener which means wm safety and tcu commit ja'dais richard will try to do something really special and tackle ajay allen who is close to 900 yards so far in just 4 games

joseph adedire (de) and mansfield summit (2-2, 1-0) play winless mansfield legacy (0-4, 0-1)

cade mcconnell (ot) and choctaw (3-1, 1-0) play ponca city (1-3, 0-1)

seth martin (og) and everman (2-2, 1-1) play seguin (2-2, 1-1)

and outside of the two frog commits meeting up in monroe the big game among frog recruits is trevon mcalpine (dt) and saraland (4-2, 3-0) playing spanish fort (5-0, 3-0) spanish fort is ranked #1 in their region in alabama and saraland is ranked #2 in that region

Not super pumped about the state of our program right now but I actually like what we’ve done on the recruiting trail so far. God an unexpected win on Saturday would be nice.

ajay allen had another big night against west monroe. he carried 31 times for 256 yards and 4 td's as neville beat west monroe for the first time in 11 games spread out over 26 years

in only 5 games allen is over 1,100 yards rushing and 10 ypc. link below is to highlights of the game

dj allen had a big night for gladewater rushing for 139 yards and 3 td's and throwing for over 100 yards as they beat new boston 42-35 to go to 2-0 in district play and 3-2 for the seasons

jaylon guilbeau's (cb) port arthur memorial (4-1, 2-0)kept up their stingy ways once again shutting out a district opponent this time 33-0 over goose creek memorial

jospeh adedire's (de) mansfield summit team also posted a shut out in district play beating mansfield legacy 41-0 to push their record to 2-0 in district and 3-2 overall

following the trend of shuts choctaw (cade mcconnell -ot) beat ponca 36-0 to raise their record to 4-1 and 2-0 in district play

but, as big as the rivalry is in the neville vs west monroe game the biggest game of the night for tcu commit's was saraland's (trevon mcalpine -dt) win over #1 ranked and previously undefeated spanish fort 28-16. linked below is game report and i thought some might like this comment from the linked article:

Play of the game: TCU commit Trevon McAlpine was spectacular from his interior defensive line position. With 2:05 left in the first quarter, Spanish Fort faced a fourth-and-1 from its 40. Quarterback Brendon Byrd lined up under center with Morris directly behind him. Byrd pitched the ball to Morris around right end. McAlpine, who was lined up in front of the offensive left guard, split two defenders and made the tackle on the speedy back near the right sideline for no gain.

“He is disruptive,” Kelly said of McAlpine.

the spartans raised their record overall to 5-2 and are 4-0 in region play
