At this point, for some of these games they should maybe just announce the Bowl invitees, write the checks to those who are to receive them, and save everyone the hassle of staging a game by showing a replay of a game from years gone by, only use live announcers.
I'm not sure how many people would really notice the difference. I would guess the TV ratings would be about the same. Anyone who finds these games remotely compelling probably needs some help.
