Nobody does, but you basically put all the blame for that on one player. In reading your posts, you'd think if we had a good QB we'd have been at worst 9-3, and probably 10-2 or 11-1.

Did you see our defense this year? Look at the defensive ratings and stats and compare them to any statistics from the QB, relative to the competition. It's clear what the primary problem with this team was but I'm sure you'll gloss over that and just focus on MD.
No I’m a masochist and only watch our offensive series.

Max has been the most consistent problem with this team over the last 3 years - yes the defense was abnormally terrible this year

We lost 2 games by 1 scores: QB swap reasonably makes those wins

We lost 2 games to [ Finebaum ] teams (WVU and KSU), which are debatable if a better QB could’ve bailed us out. Max cost TCU 14 pts against WVU (fumble on our 20 and pick inside the 30)

Was 8-4 crazy for this team? No that was the Vegas and forum expectation

8-4 was crazy for this team given how bad the defense was. It wasn't going to happen unless we had a Heisman level QB, and we all agree that MD isn't that. You for some reason you seem to think if our QB isn't a Heisman level player, that we should incessantly [ Finebaum ] on him, because you're an [ Arschloch].

Those two games we lost by one score could have been different had the defense made more plays too. To just pin it on the QB is just stupid. Every single QB out there makes mistakes, but you seem to think every time MD makes a bad play it would have been different had someone else been in there. And yes, Max wasn't good at all his true freshman year. He also shouldn't have been playing but had to because there were no better options. That ain't his fault.

You go beyond reasonable scrutiny and have made it personal against the kid.

Anyone who watched TCU this year and had a modicum of intelligence, understood that the woefully weak defense, not the QB play, was the major factor in this season’s underperformance. If the defense had preformed as well as the QB, the Frogs certainly would have had a few more wins.
The Qb did turn the ball over numerous times in critical situations. He got bailed out against a Cal team that was worse than TCU. The defense was bad but despite the effort, the Qb play did not exactly inspire the rest of the team for sure.

We had the 4th worst defense of any P5 team in the YPG/Points PG allowed categories.

The only teams that gave up more yards were Virginia (6-6), Kansas (2-10) and Duke (3-9). The only teams that gave up more points were Vandy (2-10), Kansas, and Duke. And if you're wondering where we fared in all of FBS, we were right around 115-120th in both categories. We were 126th in Yards Per Play allowed out of 130 teams.

Yea, if only we had a decent QB we'd have been at least 8-4. Huge LOL.

When you are 5-7 to there is much to criticize and neither the offense or defense played well enough. Evaluation of our players is fair but we need not to be so harsh as to personalize our evaluation to the point that has occurred here. No one player is personally responsible for our season failures and has a team and as a coaching staff we have come to expect better. Going forward we need to learn from our failures and a new staff will certainly be evaluating those players who remain on the team. We all want to see improved play and better effort next season. The portal thread will be interesting to follow. However, take it as an opportunity for improvement and not as an indictment of any one individual player. For example a new QB is just a new QB and not necessary a statement about those player at that position we have now. Who knows how any others player will work out. You pay your money and take your chances with each and every one. And this statement is not an endorsement of the NIL system. Go frogs to a better 2022.

I agree.
@ticketfrog123 You have belabored your point enough. Back off on your personal attack on this student athlete.
No one on here wants any more of your crap, Tic ... no one thinks Max is bad QB, especially with his stats and the esteemable character and leadership he brings. Watched one of the better QBs in B12, Purdy, lose a few ISU's games and he had 10(all OL) starters back from the 2020 CCG team.

Max didn't have that kind of OL pass protection and still out YPA and out Rated Purdy in 2021. So just go crawl in a hole ... as no one cares what you think about Max... or anything else for that matter(lol !). Brady and Rodgers miss on 3-4 long balls a game. So button it up!

Are you supporting the Tick's nonsense.?.
TCU finished 3rd in total offense... ahead of Baylor/Texas/Texas Tech/and OSU... 2 of which played in the Big12 CCG.
Frog's defense finished 9th, slightly above Kansas.... while OSU and Baylor's defense finished 1st and 3rd respectively.

As far as Oklahoma goes, they will eventually rite their ship, but welcome to the new reality of college football where the NIL and free agency of both coaches and players makes almost every big time school subject to the ciaos that has effected the lesser programs. It is the matrix and it is broke.
Agent Smith, line 2….
