I seem to recall making a number of posts about him coming back and what a good thing that would be, but was told how dumb I was because we were set at LB coach (GA actually). Now that guy is an analyst instead of a coach.

I thought it would be very unlike GP (who is fiercely loyal) to push out a young former player in favor of a guy who had just left on his own accord. Cross clearly more proven than JP and was a good coach for us. Glad to have him back.

If so, he needed it. Of course, you could say the same for at least 50% of the college football head coaches these days. Hopefully, he sticks with it and leads by example.
