I think I like the strategy, but it shows you how little faith Hinch has in our bullpen and 4th starter.

I get why he’s doing it.

But the way Verlander and Cole are pitching, I’m not sure I’d mess with either at the moment ... especially since the Astros do have the lead in the series.

He could always start Verlander Game 5 with Cole possibible out of the pen and feel really confident about that.

Will be interesting to see what happens...

Not in love with sending Verlander out on three days. I guess the fallback is Cole in full rest for a game 5. I think it’s disastrous burning both of them chasing a game 4 win if that is in the game plan. Get back to MMP and let Cole do his thing.
