Hadn't seen this posted yet. Was really surprised to see only 1.9 Million tuned in for TCU/Texas as opposed to 3.3 Million for TCU/OU. Shocked really. Perhaps going up against the NFL on Thanksgiving will do that to you but still surprised.

It was tops for cable sports. Not as many people have cable as you think. The game was not on basic TV where most people watch their big football games. I think TCU vs. OU was on Fox, basic.

Seriously? I'd 'crap' a brick if someone tried to make me watch the Jets Pats if I was at their house for Thanksgiving.

There would be a physical altercation or I would just leave. No way a TCU or UT fan just sits idly by and watches the NFL game while their game is on.

Previous NFL Thanksgiving Night games have only been on the NFL network. This year it was on NBC. That being said, if I had been at someone's house and they were only watching the NFL game and not the TCU-Texas game, I would have left.

Also, another fact was the Cowboys game ran late well into the start of the TCU game.

Makes perfect sense to me. TCU-OU had zero (bcs) competition and was the lead out game from ESPN College Gameday, prime position. TCU-Texas was going up against NFL on NBC and probably felt a little hollow to most cfb fans since it wasn't the traditional Aggies-Longhorns matchup.
