Yet another example of why the less monied teams have zero chance of competing at the highest level of college football. I’m honestly surprised Hoover hasn’t been plucked. Give it time I guess. He’d be pretty stupid to turn down a couple million bucks if it’s out there.

"College football needed this. Every player out there right now needed to see a 5-star quarterback attempt to hold his team hostage only to be kicked to the curb and be left hung out to dry by every other program he'd want to play for because he's getting some horrific advice from people who are ruining his career. It won't stop every instance like this, but I'd bet it's certainly going to prevent a few."

Depending upon the NIL contract terms, Nico could win.
I wouldn't doubt it.

I would think it's only a matter of time before the masses catch on and stop caring, and focus their attention on something worthwhile. In such a short amount of time, the games hardly seem to matter, it's all about who is getting theirs. I don't know, maybe that laundry is literally all that matters.

Of the 6 national titles OSU has won since 1960, last year's had to be by far the least memorable, and least meaningful.

I am sure there are a whole bunch of people who disagree with you. I understand your frustration with the way things are now, but college football is still going strong. If TCU wins the Big 12 this year, makes the playoff and wins it all, then would our potential championship be less memorable to us? I doubt it.

Edit: I am sure Ryan Day and lot of Buckeye fans disagree with you, too.

Oh, I think there are probably a lot that do agree with me, OSU fans included. 2.9M fewer people watched this year's NCG than last year, despite it being OSU-Notre Dame, two of the maybe handful of biggest brands in the game. I'm hopeful more and more people catch on, and move on.

As for TCU winning it all, not gonna happen. Not in a million years under this structure. The talking heads will pretend like it could because that's their job, but don't be fooled. It was gonna be highly highly improbable in the former era when you could actually build a team and you're best players weren't free agents every year, but impossible now.
