Does Patterson normally wait till after the bowl game to recruit, or is this kinda a strange year for TCU? I would think with our new stadium, BXII, and overall success we'd be getting a l

If you study the roster and consider all the people we lost, we could take up to 23 or maybe even more. Not nearly full is a fact.

Looking hard for offensive guards and linebackers, I think. GP said we need two 320 pound guards..

It will be fun to see if GP signs a couple more linebackers. Mid season, he made a significant change in his thinking. Everybody running the spread or spread option, and many throwing to backs on swings or crossing routes, brought GP to playing a strong safety at linebacker. After the Okie State, where backs ran past our LB's, he brought Carter to LB on passing situations.

So, will he continue to play strong safties at LB, and maybe not take more of the standard LB types. It is an interesting question..to me, at least. I'm certain we will see more of it in the bowl game. But what about next year?

Yeah, I suspect we may see the 4-1-6 as a base defense next year.

I don't know how you get to 23 recruits this year. Maybe about 19 is the most I can figure, after accounting for the returning prodigal sons, and a scholarship for Joel Hasley.

If Coach Patterson said we need a couple of 320-lb guards, that is reassuring to me, as I think that is the biggest need. We had better get after them, though, not many still available.

We need both Thompson's back - Bobby and Michael. They are both huge. And we need our freshmen in the weight room! I'm pretty bullish on our O-Line, but it does seem that we are looking to complement our athletic tackles with some road-grading guards.

Not too worried we are at 15 still after hearing our coaches have gone national looking at prospects. Hoping we have another player switch from a school in Big 12. I'm still hoping for a couple of offensive lineman! Take a look at UT and they only have 13 commitments which is really shocking knowing they are who they are! (laughing sorry)

TCU is recruiting nationally but they haven't touched Hawaii yet. A&M is recruiting out here. They have a commitment from a wide receiver out of St. Louis High and have had an official visit from Isaac Savaiinaea, a highly rated linebacker out of Punahou (where Manti Te'o went to high school).

Hawaii is a pretty good area for recruiting but wonder if A&M recruits there because of a local connection of the recruiters. It's probably tough to get a kid to come to Texas from an island paradise! BYU and Utah have done pretty good there haven't they?
