I married a 3rd generation Baylor girl so am stuck in Waco. Am now disabled to the point that I can’t attend the games anymore. I had season tickets for 30+ years before letting them go.
We consider ourselves as a major program and in today’s world of college football major programs play 7 home games. Ending this series gives TCU more control of the schedule and probably more home games (probably easy wins).
Our only hope is a 4 conference 64 team super league that breaks away from the NCAA in all sports; however, it is unlikely that the BIG and SEC will agree to splitting the money with that many schools.
We need to up our academic game. Baylor has announced that they are going to go all out for Research I status. These things are going to matter as conferences continue to reshape and the NCAA goes away.
I am not sure that any of the schools mentioned would be interested in joining the Big 12 at this point. We need to concentrate on finding a new home for TCU athletics and accept that the Big 12 is dead.
