Dykes KSU presser (Hughes out for the season)

It is simple. Just have more NIL money to pay players than every other school. Simple.

Gameday Thread, Buffalo Hunter Edition: TCU vs Colorado

Hoover lobbed the ball so high, it makes me think the main intention of the play was actually to safely burn as many seconds off the clock as possible, it was just a happy accident that McAlister was so open. Taking the clock down from 26 seconds to 19 seconds is huge, regardless if TCU scored...

Gameday Thread, Sparky Edition: TCU at ASU

Hoover didn’t have his best game, but it’s hard to fault him too much. O line was bad, and he had no help from the running game. Plus he was missing his #1 WR.

Gameday Thread, Sparky Edition: TCU at ASU

A 3 point loss to a good Arizona State team isn’t the end of the world. They are the defending Big 12 champs. My bigger fear is that this ends up being a situation like the UCF loss last year where our team is demoralized and spirals and loses some games they shouldn’t these next few weeks.

Gameday Thread, Sparky Edition: TCU at ASU

Arizona State outgained us 490-260. They were clearly the better team.

Gameday Thread, Sparky Edition: TCU at ASU

Oof I don’t mind them passing there. Run game isn’t working, and we have our back up kicker. Plus a 6 point lead isn’t much better than a 3 point lead. Hoover throwing is what is working, it was worth the risk.

Gameday Thread, Skillet Edition (the last? one): TCU vs SMU

If SMU wins, that play is the play of the game.

Charlotte Oberserver: What does UNC football gain — or lose — by playing TCU in Ireland in 2026?

Yes. 2013 @ LSU, 2014 in ACS. LSU wasn’t great in 2014, but a win against them wouldn’t have hurt our arguments for the playoffs.

    Chargers releasing Max

Perhaps. But I think if he went to a school we have no beef with, I think a lot of fans would get over it. One way or another, Max should have leveraged his 2nd place Heisman finish and playoff win and got paid to play another year of college football. Strike while the iron is hot, the NFL is...

    Chargers releasing Max

Max shouldn’t have declared for the NFL Draft. He should have used his extra Covid year and transferred somewhere to spent another year developing his passing at the college level, all while collecting a massive NIL paycheck. Ideally it would have been a Jalen Hurts situation where he could...

    Dana Holgorsen to TCU?

Definitely feels like a 1 year analyst type of thing. Still would definitely be a nice add.

Chiefs Wire: Former TCU RB Emani Bailey to sign with Chiefs

Even if he had a need, I’d imagine in the NIL era return to college (for TCU or someone else) is better than being an UDFA

on3: Johnny Manziel details his interest in TCU as a high school recruit

I would have taken him. After redshirting, Manziel only played 2 season of college football, 2012 and 2013. TCU was 7-6 and 4-8 respectively in those seasons.

And here we go.....12 just probably isn't enough.

Easy: 1) Team with the best conference record is conference champion 2) If multiple teams are tied for best record, then head to head record amongst tied teams is the tie breaker 3) If tie cannot be broken by head to head record, then tied teams are co-champions.

And here we go.....12 just probably isn't enough.

Going to 14 is also about taking away the Bye from the Big 12/ACC. With a 12 team playoff, there are four schools that get a Bye. 99% of the time that would mean the champion of the B1G, SEC, Big 12, and ACC would each get a bye. With a 14 team playoff, there are only two schools that get a...

B1G and SEC begin the process of ditching the NCAA

Something to remember is that an eyeball is an eyeball, whether it belongs to a hardcore college football fan or to a casual fan. Right now the conferences and networks seem to be betting that the loss of interest from hardcore college football fans will be outweighed by increased interest from...

    2023 NFL thread

Win another Super Bowl? The cowboys won’t win another DIVISIONAL round playoff game. This was their 13th straight time making the playoffs without winning a divisional round game It’s a NFL record, their own, which they broke again.
