Will Josh stay or take the $ this time around?

He cant run. Thats the entire problem in this offfense. Not sure how they can fix that. Dudes legitimately our best passer ever. Folks forget how good Dalton was on those interior QB zone reads. He was a first down rushing machine, if not the homerun threat Boykin and Duggan were.

Will Josh stay or take the $ this time around?

We run an RPO based offense in which the QB is not a real threat to punish an opponent by running. Against good opponents, you can go back and watch the read defender crash hard on the RBs. That's why our running game disappears in big games. Good defenses don't even pretend to read the RPO...

FWST: Is TCU football beginning to turn the corner with its rushing attack?

I don't really worry about the offense in general. I think our biggest issues this year are being Big 12 last in kicking, second to last in punting, and second to last in penalty yardage (and we're not eating penalties for tortilla tossing). Special teams aren't special, we're facing long fields...

Buffaloes Wire: Texas Tech emerges as Big 12's clear frontrunner in latest ESPN FPI rankings

BYU doesn't matter so much. We have take care of them directly either way. But we definitely could use a Tech win over ASU, unless ASU is going to go in as the #1 seed and Tech drops another one. Either way - we gotta run the table. 2-losses with one or potentially both of those losses against...

This is Dykes. We are maxed out with him.

I think we now have to run the table to make the conference championship game. Tech’s likely to be 2 losses at most, and we wont play them H2H. Arizona State we now need to lose twice. We gotta go 8-0 to finish, or its the also-ran.com bowl again this year.

FWST: TCU football will play Louisiana in the New Mexico Bowl. Fans aren’t happy.

We've been spoiled for years with P4-5 competition in bowl games. We used to be the perennial 10-win G5 team hoping for a chance to play a power conference team in a bowl game. ULL's won 10+ games in 4 of the last 6 seasons. We are their first Power conference matchup in a bowl game. Happy for...

SB Nation: TCU Football Bowl Projections

How soon can get get an NIT? Can we do it at a single stadium site like AT&T to replicate an Omaha atmosphere with 2 games a day?

You're not fooling me! That's a picture of Shreveport from the Bossier side of the Red river!

Can the Frogs make it to the Big XII Championship Game?

We're mathematically eliminated by SoS and common opponents on every possible iteration of a 6-3 logjam tiebreaker. Still, beat Cincy to better position ourselves for one of the good/local bowls that will be fan friendly for travel with a cool matchup.

Can the Frogs make it to the Big XII Championship Game?

If that thing is accurate, and it looks like it probably is, we can't make it. We're at the bottom of the pile for both conference common opponents and SoS. That UCF and/or Baylor loss killed us.

    Week 13 games

So, if all 4 of the 2 loss teams lose next week, we've got a scenario where there could be up to 8 teams tied at 6-3 in conference. Rooting for AZ, K State, Houston, and Ok State next week. CHAOS

Can the Frogs make it to the Big XII Championship Game?

With 2 weeks to go - Maximum Big 12 Carnage is: Colorado loses to both Kansas and Oklahoma State BYU loses to both Arizona State and Houston Arizona State beats BYU, but drops the rivalry game @ Arizona Iowa State beats Utah, loses to Kansas State Baylor beats Houston and Kansas Kansas State...

Does anyone honestly expect anything to get better under this staff

we just got crushed by the worst team that was left on our schedule at home. It is over. we maybe win 2 more games if the guys get up for a couple opponents for one reason or another.

Observations from yesterday... Sorry for length

Penalities are a discipline issue that requires coaches to punish repeat offenders with loss of playing time. Thats the only thing that works.

Does anyone honestly expect anything to get better under this staff

Hoover's going to take some SEC or BIG team to the next level next year after all the practice he's going to get this year throwing 50 passes a game.

    Mustang High

our rushing game, both sides of the ball, is brutally embarassing. This is the softest TCU team we've seen since the 90s. When we do get aggressive, it's petty and flagged. And it's on the leadership - this team doesn't want to go to battle. SMU's players clearly wanted that game more. They...

SMU RB averaging over 7 yards per carry

I'd love to see the advanced metrics on 6 point leads vs 3 going into final drive situations. I gotta think its worse for eventual win outcomes. the option for a tie will effect playcalling. They're not risking interceptions on endzone passes when they can settle for a FG attempt at the end to...

Gameday Thread, B12 Opener: TCU vs UCF; Sponsored by Community National Title

UCF's a good program, but we shouldn't be blowing 18 point leads at home. That's a bad loss.

    Worst RB Room since…..?

whatever it is, it's bad. We're extremely one dimensional on offense right now, and we got beat because of it.

On3: TCU's Hailey Van Lith inks NIL deal with LaCroix

except they get real dollars. Yeah, for everyone that hits it big, there's a 1000 people that don't. But for those that hit it big, they hit it really big. Ultimately, this is where all those advertising dollars that used to go to TV channels now go.
