Talk to a coach today who was on the Keller staff Walker’s Sr. Year in HS. Said he was a hell of a player and this coach played on the line at a D1 school.

    Hoover to the portal

Not in Fort Worth, he won’t. When a kid takes pro money, he plays by pro rules. No longer a college kid. His name should be stricken from all records and obelisk. His name should not be spoken. He should no longer be allowed inside 820.

247 Sports: TCU 2025 Signing Day HQ

Not sure if the profanity filter will garble this but I will try: Much like people did not know that Perry Bass’ first name was not “Godd@mnit” because when Sid Richardson called him on the phone, the conversation always started with “Godd@mnit Bass!”

State of college football (and TCU) summed up.

Teddy Roosevelt had no authority over college football when he saved the game by bringing in the forward pass. i expect something similar from Trump. Go back the old transfer rule, make it a felony go around the hard salary cap with big fines and the billionaires with think twice.

Not only did Tech run off their best coach, they let the AD and President stay even after those emails came out that made Tech look small, cheap and a place no on e should go to. Texas, oil and football: How Texas Tech has raised a football monster in no time at all

The biggest wildasses in college were the kids of preachers and high school principals. When the sun goes down, people that don’t smoke, dont drink even a Coca Cola, just twist off once the thumb comes up just a little bit.

FWST: How TCU and a famed Fort Worth football family broke up over NIL money

Kid will not get an NFL pension like the old man. Better hope dad saved his money and he has an inheritance coming.

FWST: How TCU and a famed Fort Worth football family broke up over NIL money

Back in the day, Fort Worth kids would think twice before pissing off the big $$’s people at TCU/ Fort Worth. Might be hard to find a job in Fort Worth.

NIL has completely destroyed college sports and I just dont care anymore

In the late 1960’s, I recall college game tickets being somewhat close to a movie ticket. Always more but not insanely more. Cowboys tickets 2X or 3X of a movie ticket. Today, not even close.

I thought the snow thrashing from UT was 1968, not 1974.

Or let the kicker hold and the holder kick, the extra points, like UT did to us in AGC in the 1960’s.

    50-7

30 to 0 at the end of the 1st quarter The running back from Aledo had already quit for the day in the first 5 minutes. The WR that was committed to TCU for 2 or 3 years, only to go UT at the last minute, was also blown up in that glorious 1st quarter.
