    TCU Golf 2024-2025

When you can carry the ball 300+ yards, like a like of college kids can these days, 7,600 yards really isn’t that long. How many par 4s do you think they are hitting 4 and 5 iron into? My guess is not many, and maybe none.

    NCAA football meetings

But they've let kids play 6 and even 7 years in recent years. Why? Kids normally don't attend 3-4 schools to earn their degree either (and especially ones that get scholarships), but the powers that be seem to have no issue with that.

    NCAA football meetings

Heck, why not 6 to play 6 or 7 to play 7? What difference would it make? Someone explain to me how that wouldn't be more "beneficial to the student-athlete"? Isn't that what every single decision being made has been about? I just don't understand why 4 years has always been some magic...

SMU copying TCU football again. Do they ever do anything original??

I think TCU was cowards for cancelling the series, but tap the brakes on SMU “surpassing” TCU in football. It was nice year y’all had last year when just about everything went your way. Let’s see how the next 2-3 years go.

UNC lost 51 players, added 35 via portal

I can't think of a scenario where it ends well.

UNC lost 51 players, added 35 via portal

Basically every player in college football is entirely replaceable. And it's always been that way. Every once in awhile you'll have a Johnny Manziel-type situation where a certain player makes a real measurable difference, but it's very rare. The players benefit from the stage far, far more...

TCU 360: TCU students frustrated by 2026 home opener being moved to Dublin

A home game vs a game in Ireland, 100% of the time. You can watch home games in your air conditioned living room too if you want. You spend hundreds of million of dollars on stadium upgrades in relatively recent years and then play a scheduled home game on another continent, when you only...

UNC lost 51 players, added 35 via portal

This is what I don't understand, but obviously I'm not an attorney. From a purely legal POV, what does money have to do with the rights for a governing body to set rules of competition? It's a purely voluntary activity. Nobody is being forced to participate that doesn't think it's right...

UNC lost 51 players, added 35 via portal

The root of the competitive balance issue is unlimited player movement, yes. I know everything seems illegal that restricts "student-athletes" in any way, but I just don't get it, and I don't get how all these rules were fine for over a hundred years and now all the sudden none of them are...

UNC lost 51 players, added 35 via portal

Is anyone remotely surprised? I knew the second they allowed free transfers it was going to be a giant cluster scheiss. I couldn't believe they gave in so easily to that basic rule that is so critical to any kind of competitive balance, it's as if the people making the rules have never followed...

Does Dallas have the worst GMs/owners in the country?

An "engaging power game"? Whatever that is, he was boring to watch. You asked a question, I answered it. Says nothing about his effectiveness or how good he was. But Dirk was a great player too. A team with an old Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler, and Caron Butler...

EMAIL: 2025 TCU Football Ticket Info

I would not be very confident. And this new era is only a few years old, UT has done ok. A hell of a lot better than they were doing before.

Totally different deal now. We had a chance because we could recruit smart and develop experienced teams, and programs like Texas had to live with their recruiting mistakes. For years they couldn’t hit on a QB, that’s the main reason they struggled for so long. Now they just buy stuff to fill...

ESPN: Shedeur Sanders not selected in first round of NFL draft

I think Sheduer has plenty of hand eye coordination and I have no idea how strong of an arm Deion had. Maybe Sheduer’s mom was not athletic at all. You are one odd dude.

Yep. We can't compete like we expect to in this marketplace, but by golly, people will waste a ton of money trying to convince themselves that we can. If the NFL removed its salary cap, its draft, and had every player become a free agent every year, the smaller market teams would have zero...

ESPN: Shedeur Sanders not selected in first round of NFL draft

Sheduer runs like a 4.8 forty. What other position could he be great at in the NFL? I think there is this assumption with some that because he is Deion's son, he's a great athlete. He's not.....that was one of his biggest detriments heading into the draft....not a great athlete, not a great arm.

FWST: Fanbase may be unhappy, but TCU playing in Ireland is good for the university

Not sure what you mean here. It's a couple of college football games, the games will be played and there will be winners and losers and I suppose an average number of fans will watch it, like an awful lot of other games. It's not that big a deal either way, I don't think "complete disaster" is...

Yes. A guy that has proven he can play. He'll be a very serviceable player at worst.
