Reminds me of what students called the Berry Street walker or Berry Street Mary in the 60's and 70's. If you were a male student back then you know who I am talking about
I looked at my recording of the broadcast and he got up but limped off the field with assistance, so not a worried about him as a person but as to his availability. Really looked weird, especially since he just laid there in a clump before it got up. Maybe just frustration, or it hurt like...
Michigan two years ago, Texas most of the last 15 years, OU two years ago, were beaten by the Frogs despite having an overwhelming recruiting advantage. SMOO had done a good job, in a weaker conference. BTW, TCU beat them last year and didn't go to a bowl, so whatever.
Ok, one of the best ever on the TCU beat. I have lived in northern Indiana and in Connecticut close to NYC and believe me, the FWST used to have an excellent sports page. Basically no daily has a really great sports staff nowadays.
At least he doesn't wear aggy gear to TCU pressers.
All the messiness, the penalties, etc. were bad for sure. We will see if these guys have the control to not let the happen. again.
So many of the fouls were ticky-tacky and the announcers kept saying the officials were calling the game close because it was the first game and perhaps was an...
I would never schedule UND if I were trying to be an up-and-coming team. Elite level FCS team, but if you win, well, you were supposed to. Lose and you get blasted. No thank you.
Take it from the SEC: if you want a body-bag game, make it a body-bag game. Colorado has to win by a bunch to...
Breaks my heart that Doctson never reached the potential he showed before the injury. Watching the OSU game on TV, it looked like the whole team panicked when he went out. We were behind but had been behind in many games and came back, thanks mostly to Doctson.
And the case of a coach using it in bizarrely incorrect way does not make it right. Kind of a Yogi-ism. I had to look that word up back in '65 when I first enrolled as a freshman at TCU and had to fill out a form entitled "Matriculation Data"
Note to all running backs: when a defensive player has your feet locked up in their arms, and you are going down, DO NOT TRY TO TWIST OUT TO GET A FEW INCHES!!!
I am amazed that we don't see more injuries due to that move. Guess a lot if it is instinct, so not doing it would be difficult.
To me the Smew game looked like a usual sloppy first game. All the trash-talking, etc., was really silly.
The GT/FSU game was much less sloppy. The only thing that looked first game was FSU's terrible tackling. If they don't fix that ASAP it is going to be a long season for them.
NWS has most of the game being played in the 60's with very little wind. To our players it may seem downright cold. Break out the parkas!
Stanford has a tiff hybrid field, so the surface should be good. I always prefer grass over plastic.
