I am just saying the new kid has to learn how to play smart at the new level. Go back and look at what Tom Landry told Rookie Roger Staubach about running at his new level.
I hear you but you got to pick your spots to expose yourself. The announcers said it at the time, “that was a big hit”, “a welcome to big time college football“, and that was a senior LB at 227 pounds coming down hill”, Go back and watch it.
I watched the replay, we are lucky he did not get a knee blown. They kind of high/ lowed him. But being a freshman, he pops up, runs to the sideline with only a very slight limp. I guess once the adrenaline rush wore off, he must had started to feel it more.
I bet the kid learned not to go dancing with a senior LB, that held him up, while others came in and took low/ strip shots on him. This is not high school, get down, you are too small to mix it up with LB’s.
Thank you Michigan. I guess the NCAA would rather update the technology, turn the page, than come clean with how much sign stealing has been going on for the last 5 years.
That cheer was completly dead at TCU in the 1970’s and into the early 1980’s. Some of the old cheerleaders from the 1950’s or 60’s did it at an early 1980’s homecoming game. Seemed like something from the 1930’s. Amazing that today’s kids love it so much.
I heard an interview with her this week and she said of going to TCU ”I am going to give that school everything I have”. Boy, LSU must have been terrible. And she sees TCU as a haven to finish out her college career and position herself for the WNBA
I am having Franchione flashbacks. I had an Alabama friend. When Franchione left TCU for Alabama, he was just doing what was right for his family. When he left Alabama for A&M, he was a traitor. Now the Aggies get to sing that tune.
I recall Mr. Houk was a great hitter at TCU. On the bases, he was not the most fleet base runner and his appearance did not scream footspeed. Some unfortunate fan from another school pointed this out, loudly during a game. I say unfortunate because Farkas was in the house that day. Farkus...
In the modern era, Kyle Hicks was the first recruit we got that UT wanted. For the next 10 or so years TCU got a number of players UT wanted. Now, I think NIL may be closing that window.
My prediction is TCU will start having higher ranked high school recruiting class with NIL. The OUT’s...
If I recall correctly, they won every conference regular season game. So not just regular season champ, undefeated regular season champ that had to play a stupid championship game for more “data points” for some committee.
