Stanford boatraced Cal Poly, a team picked to finish 11th out of 12 in the FCS Big Sky Conference. We shut out LIU, who is picked to finish 6th in their 8-team FCS league. And we didn't exactly blow Stanford out, and some were picking them to finish dead last in the ACC. You think there's BS...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

Briles was never the OC or called plays (I don't believe) but it was "his" offense I guess? Randy Clements, Phil Montgomery and Kendal were his OC's at Baylor. I really don't know, but the first two were with him a long time, they might have been the real brains behind that offense. Roids...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

You said TCU doesn't have half the talent that Baylor had, and I just pointed out that Baylor didn't have near the talent people thought they had. They had a good team that ran an at-the-time unique system that defenses had trouble figuring out, so they were able to put up good numbers...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

TCU's line in 2015 had.... H. Vatai SR (8 seasons in NFL, made over $35M), Aviante Collins SR (5+ years in NFL) Joey Hunt, SR (5+ years in NFL) Austin Schlottman, SR (7 years in NFL, still playing) Joseph Noteboom SO (7 years in the NFL, signed a $40M extension in 2022, still playing) Matt...

What a clown show. There's gonna be a big mess to clean up when he leaves. I'd say there's about a 0% chance he's coaching beyond next year. And about a 20% chance he's coaching after this year.

    UCLA to Loose Baseball Field?

    Probably too offensive.

    Worst RB Room since…..?

I think that entire starting OL started less than a season's full of games in the NFL, despite all the college accolades. They were probably less talented than a couple of TCU's O-lines of the same era, despite what statistics tell you. They ran a system that was unique at the time, and...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

I think that was actually a huge factor of that type of offense more or less going away. Once they cracked down on that rule, it wasn't near as effective. On so many of their pass attempts, lineman were run blocking 3-4 yards downfield after the QB pulled the ball from the RB.

    Worst RB Room since…..?

I don’t think BU had near he talent you think they had. How many of those lineman had NFL careers? How many of their players period had long NFL careers?

    Worst RB Room since…..?

Honestly, I see very little resemblance between this offense and what Baylor ran a decade ago. They pounded the ball up the middle on runs over and over using tempo and their passing game was basically limited to fly patterns and slants. What Kendal runs seems to be have much more of the...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

What do you disagree with? You don't think they are serviceable? I think we have a bunch of probably below-average to average D1, P4 (whatever you want to call it) running backs, and they are decent enough to where they can get the job done most of the time. This is never going to be a...

    Worst RB Room since…..?

I think it probably is the least talented group of RBs we've had in a really long time. But it's still a serviceable group and if you're going to have a "worst position group" please let it be running back, because it's probably the easiest position to find players that can do a decent job and...

They wouldn’t have more money though, because it’d be a bad business, and rich people dont buy bad businesses. Nobody would want to own the Packers or Bills if there were no competitive guardrails in place and if revenue wasn’t shared somewhat evenly.

    Week 2 other games

The NFL is as successful as it is because they do it right. All 32 teams have basically the same resources to work with from a competitive standpoint and there is equal revenue sharing of TV contracts. I don't think anyone would want to own an NFL team if there were annual free agency and no...

    Week 2 other games

I know it’s a business. So is every other sports organization in the world. I don’t think any have ever had a player acquisition and retention system (or whatever you want to call it) as dumb as what exists in college sports today.

    Week 2 other games

Because they aren’t. No team remaining in the Big 12 has the resources to put together a dominant team in this structure of CFB. No chance. If there were annual free agency and no salary cap (not to mention drastically different TV revenue sharing) in the NFL, do you think the Seahawks...

    Expansion - BY making moves?

TCU is playing Long Island University on Saturday. I honestly don't think it matters if UCONN joins the league and we play them every other year in a conference game. We've played Kansas every year when they sucked worse than UCONN and nobody seemed too bothered by it. I think the Big Two...

FWST: TCU football notebook: Sonny Dykes provides injury update on Hauss Hejny, wide receivers

He has it out for Dykes and Briles so the axe that must be grinded doesn't allow for any objectivity in his posts.

FWST: TCU football notebook: Sonny Dykes provides injury update on Hauss Hejny, wide receivers

LOL. What the hell difference does it make if he's a "legacy recruit" or not? Are legacy recruits supposed to be coddled or otherwise treated differently? They tried to get the kid some playing time. Football players get hurt at times. The end.
