11U Midland Horned Frogs win second state title

The Midland Horned Frogs 11-under team captured the state championship in the Texas Youth Football Association with an impressive 23-6 victory over the San Antonio Southeast Hornets on Saturday at Matador Stadium in Seguin.
The state title was the second straight for the Horned Frogs in this age division.
“(The Hornets) were a scrappy team, they didn’t back down, but neither did our boys,” said Horned Frogs head coach Merardo Avila. “The kids were well prepared and the coaches did a great job of doing film and preparing them. The boys were put in position to be successful.”
