Ask these folks:

Donati is the man who will be credited for making the hire, sources said, but he received input from a five-person selection committee featuring Donati, deputy athletics director Mike Sinquefield and board of trustees members LaDainian Tomlinson, Eddie Clark and Hunter Enis. TCU also retained a coaching search firm.

FYI in case you don't know the background on the trustees involved:

  • Mr. LaDainian T. Tomlinson
    Sports Analyst
    NFL Network
    Westlake
  • Mr. Edward “Eddie” A. Clark
    President/CEO
    Professional Turf Products of Texas
    Euless/Fort Worth
  • Mr. G. Hunter Enis
    Partner and President
    Four Sevens Oil Company
    Fort Worth

To be fair all you have to do to confuse and confound an Aggy is telephone him while he's doing the ironing.

Jimbo is benefitting from 3 things IMO….
1) The program has never been good enough that they have instant huge expectations for a new coach.
2) He’s recruiting very well.
3) UT currently sucks so he’s not constantly faced with the pressure of needing to be as good as they are.
Beating Alabama this year didn’t hurt either. I think Jimbo will do well there long term.

this could be very, very interesting with riley in so cal if usc has truly decided to support the program

throw out recruiting so cal because we know you have to avoid that 100-mile halo, but you still have the tradition, brand recognition etc...

do think usc in the pac is a better job than ou in the sec west
