TEXAS and OKLAHOMA will be accepted into SEC in 2 weeks (that isn’t my opinion - it is a media source close to situation - who does know). They won’t officially join til 2025 however they both will separately negotiate an earlier join date of 2024.

Why did UT and OU do this so suddenly ?
Easy answer - NIL

1) Both UT and OU were tremendously alarmed by ALABAMA’s new QB getting $1 million dollars in NIL money.

2) Which means SEC teams are going to get HUGE NIL deals. Recruiting for SEC schools is going to be off the charts ! Kids will be lining up 10 deep to try to be recruited by SEC teams.

3) Big 12 teams have HUGE disadvantage with NIL because SEC is clearly the best college football League and all the best recruits will obviously want to go there for the $$$. UT and OU saw that and hit panic button to get out of Big12.

4) Big 12 teams (other than OU and UT) will de a tremendous decrease in recruiting quality (but gradually over next 3 yrs).

5) why do you think JAY FAIR picked AUBURN ? answer - NIL ! He may not say it but that’s why - $$$$

6) in a few yrs - no more 4 star recruits at TCU or any other of the leftover B12 teams.
Watch KENTICKY and VANDERBILTS recruiting skyrocket over next few yrs !!

TCU football is over as we now know it. Not only no more 4 star recruits but some current 4 stars will leave after this season. Just watch......every SEC school has just won the transfer portal lottery !!

DONT BLAME UT and OU FOR THIS ! They both had to make the move or be left in the dust forever by SEC.

SAY HELLO TO THE MTN WEDT CONF again......only this time BAYLOR and TTECH will be going there with us !!

And......don’t be so stupid as to think ACC or PAC 12 want B12 leftovers !!

Notre Dame contractually has to join the ACC if they are to join a conference.

You are cutting TCU short. We have enough to offer to the PAC 16 to garner serious consideration. We are in a top 5 media market and a recruiting hot bed, that matters. We are a proven force on the football field which is more than you can say for the majority of the teams listed. We are an easy travel destination and have strong academics. We also have a good academic standing which is more than a lot of schools mentioned. We have $$$$$$$$, which is something a lot of the schools listed do not have.

In 2024 (UT and OU have stated they can negotiate an earlier release from B12 media rights) no decent recruits are going to commit to any of the B12 leftovers (TCU, BAYLOR, TTECH, ISU, OSU, KSU).

KANSAS will be fine and P5 conferences will all rush to get KU due to basketball. I think WVU is a natural for ACC. No conference wants the 5-6 leftovers.

No chance of TCU or B12 leftovers making playoff now. Playoff Committee will find a way to include only the P5 teams and exclude the G5 kiddies at the kiddie table. G5 will have to have their own KIDDIE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

No more big time teams playing at TCU after 2024. That will end. Very sad to see but $$$$ and greed is to blame.

Greedy selfish, Schools like TEXAS A$M who are determined to win at any cost, are the source of the collapse of college football as we know it.

You won’t even recognize the sport a few yrs after 2024 ! High school kids parents will be suing people in order to get NIL $$$ for their little High School Johnny. NIL will for sure trickle down to High Schools and TEXAS A$M will be right there paying off high schoolers to come to AggieLand. And they will have bagmen all over the State paying off anyone and everyone they think will advance their recruiting.

A$M and schools just like them are why good things get ruined. And if laws and rules aren’t enforced STRICTLY (yes I’m looking at you NCAA) against dishonest cheaters like A$M - this is what scum does. Ruins a good thing

If we get left out, give Gary a contract till he is 90 and tell him to bring back the "chip on our shoulders" attitude that got us into the Rose bowl. He can take 3stars and get us there. I believe this. It will be the old time Gary-Horned Frog teams of old.

the big 12 has sucked for tcu. Barely a .500 team in this conference and the conference mate schools suck.

Ahhhh…nostalgia. Even if it could happen (and it won’t), the portal would take up permanent residence on N Bellaire Dr and vacuum up every rising talent.
