Regarding Kirk Saarloos’ leading tweet, “Bleed purple or bleed out.” Just a suggestion, but simply “Bleed Purple” may be more congruent with Coach Saarloos’ new position as head coach. Elevate. “Bleed out” is imagery many may not care to see, might even consider vulgar, and adds nothing positive. We have enough blood in the streets, and it is red. :)

Some of us believe there could/should be more blood in the streets...

Steel, for one, is Pro Death. That is, pro death penalty, pro abortion and pro wars.

That is all.

Yep. Sometimes, you look to advance the runner for however the situation dictates it. It isn’t always swinging for the fences.

I am a swing the bat kind of guy, but there are times a bunt might be the better choice. I would actually like to see more hit and run approaches than a bunt in those situations. Just my opinion.
Like when your " defensive specialists that aren't hitting their weight are up in late innings with men on 1st and/or 2nd with no outs

I don’t know what your family crest has to do with my suggestion, but being you found the need to make this personal, as is often the case in our sometimes narcissistic society, I will behave accordingly - I had a friend, Ben, “bleed out” on a street in Houston last year after being mugged and stabbed in the neck and chest. Ben was humble and I do not know if he has a family crest, but if he does hopefully those words are not part of it.

I did not intend to get off on the wrong foot here at KF, unintentionally “pushing people’s buttons” over a phrase, and then wondering if I should bite back. Is this the game I am suppose to play - social media. I prefer grace and manners, old school, but maybe that is “dorky” these days. I thought I had a good point that some might agree with, but in this instance only those who disagree speak up. Reacting with “dork”, “idiot” and “snowflake” because you didn’t like an opinion might make you the sensitive snowflakes, jeepers - I will be more careful, maybe. Sorry to offend.

You might want to review some threads and get the temperature of the room. It can get pretty brutal on here. Dork and idiot are pretty mild. It doesn’t get serious until you get a [scheiss], [ Craig James], [ muschi ], or other much more complimentary terms…

Yadier Molina, one of the great underappreciated athletes, much less catcher, in the last 20 years.

Baseball stats don't do catchers justice. You have to look elsewhere. Like for example, since Yadi took over catch duties for the Cards in 2005, the Cards have allowed 811 stolen bases, the fewest in the major leagues; the second place team, AZ, has allowed 337 more in that same span. Huge Gap!

Yadi should be a 1st ballot HOFer, even more so than a guy like Pujols, but he prolly won't be cause the stats heads are hyper focused on the stats they are fed.
Yes he will...

In a serious note, if this is true, Steel is very sorry for Ben and his family; this reinforces why steel carries self protection and trains to use it, and everyone would be well advised to do so as well. But that’s only a fraction of the equation. The most important is situational awareness, identifying risk areas, ingress and egress etc. The most prepared person is least likely to be a victim
