GoFrogs: Five Straight! TCU Earns First-Ever National Seed
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's soccer team has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season. By virtue of winning the Big 12 regular-season title, the Horned Frogs earned an automatic bid. TCU earned its first-ever national seed, as it was selected as the tournament's No. 4 seed
With a 48-team field, the Frogs earning a national seed has given them a bye in the first round. TCU will face the winner of the New Mexico/Navy match at a date and time to be determined.
The entire tournament will take place in North Carolina at various fields.
The Horned Frogs are 11-1-1 on the season. They finished the fall campaign with an 8-0-1 record en route to the regular-season title. TCU has gone 2-1-0 this spring in preparation for the NCAA Tournament. TCU is one of 16 programs to appear in the last five NCAA Tournaments.
The Big 12 earned three bids to the tournament. Oklahoma State and West Virginia were also selected to the field of 48. West Virginia was earned the No. 5 national seed. Oklahoma State was tabbed the No. 10 national seed.
