When they first started doing it, it was only $50 for a weeknight showing of non-new releases. Crazy cheap.
My wife rented a local theater on Christmas day and we watched Elf with another family. It was about 14 people total and we had the theater to ourselves. I think the cost was $100. The other family had little kids so it was kind of nice not having to worry about the kids acting up or talking because no one really cared and almost all had already seen the movie before. Overall, not a bad experience for an outing when outings have been difficult to come by.
The theater still made a lot of money off of us on concessions too, so likely not too bad a deal for all parties.

The Man Behind The Curtain
We took the kids lat week to Cinemark to watch Croods 2. Loved it. Sure it was somewhat predictable, like all of these animated films these days, but the jokes were good and I laughed out loud more than I care to admit. And like HG73 we also were dismayed with the new popcorn policy. A family of 4 can go through a "large" bucket of corn pretty quickly and without refills it's not worth the price. We used to get the bucket and the refill before going into the movie and have a good amount left for home viewing the next couple of nights, which is a decent deal for the $5 they charge... not anymore. I'm afraid the theatre model is on its deathbed.

Warrior is now streaming on HBO Max. This show is greatness and I’m supremely annoyed Cinemax cancelled it. They’re apparently trying/hoping to get HBO Max to start it up again but seems like a long shot.

(Although if HBO Max will do a vapid series like Raised by Wolves, they damn well ought to do a good show like Warrior IMO)

THE MOST UNDERRATED ACTION SERIES OF THE CENTURY IS FINALLY STREAMING ON HBO MAX

this does raise the question if it is possible for a movie that purposely made to bad/ dumb to be considered the worst movie of the year as opposed to a movie made with real intentions such as ww84?
I saw WW84 and it far from the worst movie I ever saw. But then again I like midget porn.

Check out "You Honor" on Showtime.
Bryan Cranston plays a New Orleans judge, whose son accidentally hits a kid on a motorcycle and kills him. Cranston decides to cover it up when he finds out the kid that dies is the son of a local crime family boss.
.....And it goes WAY down hill from there....

Is it really good?

Reviews I read all panned it--said it was a poor recycling of his Breaking Bad character.
