Generally I agree. End of the year we will see where they are ranked, if at all. The Cincy game for them is big. That would be a quality win.

The lack of non conference games is really hurting the perception of leagues like the AAC right now. We have no idea if teams in the AAC, or even P5 leagues, are good because there are no non conference games to be played to be a measuring stick. Therefore we don't know the actual value of conference wins.
 
Good for SMU. They are 5-0 and winning every game on their schedule. While it's not a power 5 conference schedule they are winning and building momentum. The SMU program seems pointed in the right direction. I remember when TCU used to have a good football program. As it stands now the Frogs are trending in the wrong direction with little hope for improvement. Thankfully TCU didn't play SMU this season or the Ponies would be 6-0 and TCU would have yet another loss on top of what promises to be many this year.
