Going back to my old town is jarring. Everyone lives in fear, hiding behind their face diaper, eyes darting around. It's sick, and I am literally ashamed of these people, behaving like panicked sheep. Of course, all they hear from the lying Media is "Wear your mask! Protect yourself!" The damned illness is past us! The peak was in April! APRIL! All of the "curves" are bottoming out, and have been since July. JULY! Oh, and in case nobody noticed, it's OCTOBER!!!!

We have, all of us, literally had a year stolen from our lives. A whole year. The Media driven panic, crazy overreaction, and continued mis-information (commonly known as lies) spread by Our Betters is insulting, if not galling.

You pretty much said exactly how I feel, with the exception that I would've used ALOT MORE cuss words and really unloaded. Enough is enough, and has been for several months now.

Liked for the use of the word “betters”. That’s a prevailing attitude I’ve experienced a ton over the years. Most recently from a county commissioner who told me I just don’t understand how vaccines are developed and distributed. But it’s an infection common in elected officials whether you agree with them or not. The majority view themselves as smarter and more advanced than the people they pretend to serve. Majority...not 100% but my experience is that it’s pretty close to that.

Case in point: Back in about 2005 or so I was speaking with a US Senator about the integrity of the pharmaceutical supply chain and consumer confidence. It was contentious to say the least with his assertion that if it was a problem we’d have hundreds of thousands of people dying on the sidewalks. I asked him how many people died of Tylenol tampering event to which he replied: “hundreds...maybe thousands.” And then said he knew people who wouldn’t take Tylenol to that day. He was furious at ME when I pointed out that there were 7 confirmed deaths from that event.

We think these people are smart. Some are. Some aren’t. But they are all ambitious and sometimes that ambition is to be lord of the citizenry.

speak for yourself...... i am quite confident most of washington with the support of the acting community (who based upon my experience through our oldest daughter are scheissing morons) will come up with this yet undeveloped energy technology that will allow the usa to not only survive, but thrive under the green accord

i mean if a bartender from nyc and a number of actors who barely got through high school say it is possible could ahead and mark it as done...now something too like the covid which we have never seen before, we are totally scheissed

Why not wait until closer to the event to make such a decision? Would only make sense when you consider that the health "experts" claim that don't know what the virus will do in the future as their reason for pushing that we should stop our way of living.

Most likely they had to finalize contracts and make deposits, which can be hard to recoup in the event of cancellation.

You are incorrect about those actors....most barely made it through elementary school. Case in point, Oscar winners Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lawrence, both 6th grade educations...

This was probably inevitable and the right thing to do, but man this sucks for the kids who raise the animals and need the money and the businesses that rely on that January/February visitor boom.

I hope they find a way to make room for a scaled down opportunity for the kids to show off their hard work and earn the money they’ve worked for.
