Was at the game and was sitting in the OU section on the goal line near the TCU endzone. Was surrounded by sooners with the exception of a small pocket of TCU fans in front of us including some basketball players. Remember cheering my butt off and sooner fans being surprisingly friendly. Then after they went right down the field and scored to start the 2nd half one of the sooner fans turned to me and said “you boys are about to witness some sooner magic!” Ha, well, the rest is history and I remember high fiving former TCU player Femi Ibikunle as the game ended. Just a great day all around.

Yup, I remember getting into a friend's little boat in Slidell, looking at my watch -- straight up noon -- kickoff time for the Frogs in Norman. Road across Lake Pontchartrain to NOLA. Worked hard, sweated butt off, saw lots of devastation. Boated back to Slidell. Got in the car and into gridlock headed back to Baton Rouge. Called Sooner wife. She said TCU won. I yelled. Loudly. Like Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Only happy.

Watched the first time on TV, and almost had a heart attach. Watched, again, on YouTube last night. The heart pains were not as severe.
Do you think we can get Tye to come out of retirement?

We were in the Caesars Sportsbook and sat at a table next to some sooner fans. The place was packed with Ohio State fans and the big screens had the Buckeyes' playing Miami-Ohio, so the Frog game was on one of the smaller TVs.

In about the second quarter, the local tv station carrying the Buckeyes swapped over to TCU-OU. The buckeye fans freaked out, as their game was still on one of the smaller tvs from a non-local broadcast. But Caesars policy is that they do not change channels once the games have started. So in addition to TCU beating the Sooners, I got to enjoy a bunch of pissed off Buckeye fans. What a great day.
