If half of our fan base doesn’t care about the rivalry and SMU fans don’t care about football in general.....is it really a rivalry?

This rivalry just feels forced. Over the past 20 years, I just hoped we never lost to SMU because it would be embarrassing. I never got excited when we won the game.
It’s very different than the Baylor game. when we play Baylor I hope we beat the [ Finebaum ] out of them and get furious when we lose. That’s how a rivalry should feel
