Some notes....

Coach Mensa at UT firmly starting the season @ #2

Clay Helton has to be thanking Jesus that the Pac 12 dropped Alabama and Notre Dame from his schedule.

On the other end of the spectrum, Scott Frost has to be HATING the Big Ten dropping his non-conference games at Nebraska. They play Penn State AND Ohio State in cross over games this year. They lost South Dakota State, Central Michigan, and Cincy. They are also potentially now playing one more game against Michigan or Michigan State. 2-8 season in year three after going 9-15 in the first two seasons in Lincoln will be you fired per Rick Neuheisel on ESPNU radio today.

I can't ever remember seeing Coach P this high. Let's get him back in the 110-129 range.

Holgorsen at #9.......LOL.

GP's seat isn't near as warm as some seem to think it is. I mean, another lousy season and more people will really start grumbling, but he's not going to be fired unless the wheels just completely start flying off.

why is dana at #9. tilman runs that athletic department and if any coach on his payroll is on the hotseat it is dantoni and not his drinking buddy

find it hard to believe anyone at uconn, utep, or nmstate care enough about football to have those coaches ranked that high and i don't believe those athletic departments have access to the cash to buy out

locksley at maryland has a monster recruiting class on the way and why the hell are rice, tulsa,University of North Texas and texas state on that list. again, which of those 4 have access to the money to buy out any contracts

Liked the Lee Trevino spiel lower down in the article. Can you imagine this today? Snowflakes would be melting. Lee was a funny guy.

Some real head scratchers on that list. Unless GP has been sleeping with VBo's wife, daughter, and sister at the same time and only this author knows about it. He's safe.

Holgo at Houston is about as safe as anyone could be. As Barr pointed out, his buyout would cost way too much during corona season.

Same is true for the grass eater in Lawrence. He's got plenty of time there.

Several others too. Some make tons of sense, but many also make no sense at all.

Unless some of us are secretly BMDs, we don't know. His on-field performance is worthy of being on the hot seat in a P5 conference. His off-field moves with coaches testify to being on the hot seat, as would his moves with players (if we believe the alleged, but largely debunked character issues). Given his history and the current circumstances, it is unlikely he would be fired this year absent a major off-the-field issue, so 23rd might be a bit high, but his seat is definitely warm.
