Was driving to a sorority formal out at Lost Creek. Had just left my apartment and was on 30 just east of downtown when it sounded like we’d entered a war zone. My sunroof got smashed right away. Finally was able to find a large tree to sort of hide under until it passed. Drove right by Mayfest a few minutes later and could tell they got hammered. The formal ended up being awesome. Don’t think we even bothered with dinner.

I was at the apartments off park hill and university that are old Spanish style preparing to go to law school. The apartment complex had covered parking and thankfully my new car didn’t get any damage.

Damn some of y’all are young guys, especially lvh who I thought was at least in his sixties.

I was in 10th grade. My family and I had dinner at Furrs by Ridgmar. It started to rain as we left. The sky turned green as we were crossing I-20 in Benbrook and the hail started. We barely missed a tornado that had been going down 20. Only a couple of small dents on the car roof. We got very lucky.

I was waiting tables at Joe T Garcia's. I worked the F section that night. I know that sounds funny if you never worked there, but if you did, you remember that was a perfect section: outside, close to the kitchen, 7 tables, all 4 tops, walk away with $400 in cash if you worked hard.

But that storm rolled through and all outside waiters got cut early. Drove home to my apartment and parked under the garage just as the storm hit. Thankful my car didn't get a lick of damage because many of my friends cars were totaled.

I was a senior in high school selling shoes at Ridgmar. Skylights were busted and floors were soaked. It did sound like a war zone. We were shut down for the weekend.

Vinyl siding on the north side of the house was chewed to bits. Windows busted. One vehicle totaled and replaced. My 86 Crown Vic took it like a champ with only windshield damage.

That was an odd day for me.
Rushed the entire day to get off from work.
I remember being really upset because I was running late.
While showering I remember hearing super loud thunder claps and despite that I was still determined to go.
Thank God we never made it.
Kids were 9yrs and 5yrs old.

Dude! I was in a TGIF off I-30 by the old ratty Ridgmar mall, when that thing blew in. It had this covered glass patio that was destroyed. At first it was kind of cool the way the hail sounded when it hit the glass, but then one shot through the glass and landed on an empty table.

I still remember the lady crying inside because she went there to celebrate getting her first new car (a blue Ford F-150), just off the lot, and that system demolished it.

That was in the good old days when they still wore flair

Lived in some apts off Bryant Irvin at the time..... sat on my balcony watching it come down. All of the sudden I watch three TCU baseball players come out of their apt with their bats and try to hit them. Two of them had batting helmets on. It was greatness to watch. Looking back..... probably not the smartest thing

I was on vacation and was in New Orleans when the storm came through a couple of days later. Worst non-hurricane flood in NO history. At that time Harrahs had a temporary casino in the old convention center in a bad part of town. They shut it down a little before midnight due to flooding and I tried to get back to my hotel in Metairie - the water was too deep, went back to the parking lot, tried an hour later and finally made it back to the hotel about 4:30. The fire department had to run the elevator to our room. Checked out the next morning wand saw nothing but flooded homes and business off I10.

I though baseball-sized hail was an exaggeration -- until that night, when I picked up several in my front yard. I've never seen anything like it.
