TCU basketball gets good news on center Kevin Samuel

TCU center Kevin Samuel is returning for his junior season.

Samuel was evaluated by the NBA’s Undergraduate Advisory Committee (UAC) and decided not to test the NBA Draft waters. The deadline for undergraduate players to declare for the NBA Draft is Sunday at 10:59 p.m..

The deadline for players who declare for the NBA Draft to withdraw while retaining NCAA eligibility is June 3.

Obviously the right decision for Kevin. Good for him and certainly good for TCU! Hopefully he continues to develop like he has the last two years.

Big transition year for TCU in 20-21... A young team with experience, needing to find an identity and its next stars.

If we can go that next year, 21-22 will be the year for a tourney appearance and maybe a run... I see that team, with Samuel as a Senior, a really good JR class, a SO class with a star or two that's grown up a bit, and maybe a FR or two that add a lot to the mix.

If Jamie can keep it all together and grow these boys up, I think the vision is there for the beginnings of another multi-year run... Get this think back on track.
