Overtime Question: Wifi Extender

Anyone using a good wifi extender option. I live in a 110 year old cottage where the router is located in the front room of the house. Would like to get better coverage and signal in the study and bedrooms near the back of the house and upstairs.

Who’s wrestled with this? Looking into Google Mesh..Anyone experienced with Mesh?

Edit: Just to clarify, WiFi Extender isn’t a euphemism.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. I have an AT&T router, and it meshes fairly well. I had to set the main router to a fixed channel (instead of "AUTO"), and since then haven't had many drops in the extender's wifi signal. We have a guest house in back and it also reaches there.

I made the mistake, while attempting to make a joke, of googling mesh underwear. Turns out Etsy is a porn site basically. They sell things that I didn’t think possible.

I use an Orbi satellite. It’s been great.

Orbi seems to be the the top of the line set up..
It really works well. Our router is located in the parlor near the front of the pool house but just wouldn’t send a strong enough signal to any of the guest houses, the underground classic auto garage or the servants quarters. Orbi fixed all that except the servants quarters. I turned off their power when my white gloves came out of the wash more eggshell than white.

I hate when my servants beg for WiFi. Almost as much as I hate their crying about lack of running water.

If you have the router than comes with Spectrum/Charter how easy is it to get to working with a mesh router like Google wifi?
I can't speak on that because I have ATT, but all you do is plug it into the router the way you would a computer. Download the app and it'll guide you through the set up. Super easy.

I don't have Google wifi, but I got an Eero mesh system and it couldn't have been more simple. It worked great when I Had Uverse internet and works great with Charter internet now. I just had to unplug the cat5 cable from the old router and plug it into the eero. The transition was that simple.

Same is true of Eero. Really a great system.
