FORT WORTH – Seniors Desmond Bane scored over 20 points for the fourth straight game, TCU was unable to hold onto a 20-point lead as it fell, 78-76, to Oklahoma Saturday evening inside Schollmaier Arena.

In the final regular-season home game of his career, Bane recorded 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting, 19 of which came in the first half. The Richmond, Ind., native also became TCU's all-time leader in 3-pointers after going 4-of-6 from beyond-the-arc. His 247 career threes passed up Corey Santee's record of 243.

Fellow senior Jaire Grayer finished the game with a season-high 18 points and sank four 3-pointers.

The Frogs opened the game on a 13-4 run featuring 10 points from Grayer and Bane. TCU (16-15, 7-11) hit eight of its first 12 field goal attempts. A Bane layup gave TCU it's largest lead of the game, 41-21, with 3:09 left in the first half. TCU's 18-point advantage, at 52-33, heading into the locker room marked its largest halftime lead in Big 12 Conference play this season.

The Sooners (19-12, 9-9) slowly chipped away at the lead. With 1:58 left to play, Oklahoma's Brady Manek hit a 3-pointer for his first points of the game to cut the deficit to four, 71-67. Austin Reaves then scored eight of the Sooners' last 11 points, including the game-winning jumper that broke a 76-76 tie with 0.5 seconds remaining. It was OU's only lead of the game. Reaves finished with a career-high 41 points.

The Frogs were 12-of-21 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range, their highest in a Big 12 game this season. Oklahoma was 9-of-23 (39.1 percent) from three, eight of which came in the second half.

TCU will enter the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. as the No. 7 seed. Its first game will come on Wednesday night against Kansas State at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.

Team Notes
- TCU fell to 4-25 all-time against the Sooners, including 2-9 in games played in Fort Worth.
- The Frogs shot 57.1 percent from 3-point range, their highest in Big 12 conference play and highest since Dec. 30 against George Mason.
- TCU's 17 fast-break points were its most in Big 12 conference play this season.
- TCU recorded 21 assists and fell to 5-1 this season when recording 20 or more assists. Additionally, it was TCU's first loss when recording 20 or more assists since Jan. 13, 2018 at Oklahoma, a streak of 20 games.
- The Frogs started with the lineup of Desmond Bane, RJ Nembhard, Jaire Grayer, Kevin Samuel and Edric Dennis for the first time since Feb. 5 at Oklahoma State and the 14th time this season (8-6).

Individual Notes
- Senior Desmond Bane led TCU with 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting (72.7 percent) in the first half alone. It was his fourth straight and 12th 20-point output this season. TCU fell to 18-5 in Bane's career when he scores 20 or more in a game.
- Bane played in his 140th game of his career, tying JD Miller (2015-19) for the most games played in program history.
- Bane also started for the 113th time in his career, tying current player development coordinator Corey Santee 2002-05 for fifth on the all-time games started list.
- Bane shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range and has now made a three in 21 consecutive games and made four or more 3-pointers in three straight games.
- With his first made 3-pointer in the opening minutes of the game, Bane moved into sole possession of first place on the TCU all-time threes made leaderboard. He passed Corey Santee (2002-05, 243) on the list and has now made 247 career 3-pointers.
- Senior Jaire Grayer scored a season-high 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and tied a team-high with seven rebounds. His previous high was 15, last came against K-State on Feb. 15.
- Grayer shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range, tying his season-high in threes made.
- RJ Nembhard scored 12 points, including 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range, and dished out a game-high seven assists.
- Kevin Samuel scored 12 points and tied the team-high with seven rebounds. It was the 17th time this season that Samuel led the team in rebounds.
- On the defensive end, Samuel recorded three steals, his most in a Big 12 conference game in his career, and a blocked shot.
- Freshman guard PJ Fuller recorded four rebounds, his most in conference play this season.

At least CJD called out the poor officiating and made it known. The officials said we fouled #12 twelve times, he went to the foul line more than our entire team went.
