GoFrogs: Frogs Come Up Big on the Road Again, Down Sooners 82-63
NORMAN, Okla. Adeola Akomolafe scored a career-high 16 points and registered the fourth double-double of her career with 11 rebounds to help lead the TCU Horned Frogs to an 82-63 road win against the Oklahoma Sooners, Sunday afternoon at Lloyd Noble Center.

The Horned Frogs moved to 13-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play, winning for the third straight time on the road against a Big 12 opponent. The win also marked TCU's best five-game start in Big 12 play. Oklahoma dropped to 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the league standings.

THE RUNDOWN
Both TCU and Oklahoma traded buckets for the majority of the first half, but the Horned Frogs outscored the Sooners 20-17 in the second quarter to take a 41-39 lead into the break.

OU shot 53 percent from the floor and was 6-for-6 from the free throw line, but TCU countered with a 46 percent shooting effort and out-rebounding the home squad, 17-16. Seven of TCU's 17 boards came on the offensive side of the court and the Horned Frogs converted those boards into nine second chance points.

The Horned Frogs came out firing on all cylinders in the third quarter, opening the frame with a 10-0 run and never looking back. OU came back with a 6-0 run, but the Frogs were too hot finishing the third quarter shooting 10-of-11 from the field, with a 2-of-2 effort from three-point range and a 4-of-4 mark from the charity stripe.

TCU took its 67-55 third quarter lead and ran away with the game, limiting the Sooners to just eight points in the fourth quarter and rounding out its performance with a 19-point victory.

All five of TCU's starters scored in double figures with Kianna Ray and Jayde Woods leading the way with 18 points each. Lauren Heard followed Akomolafe's 16-point effort with 13 points and Jaycee Bradley scored 10 points.

Ray became a member of TCU's 1,000 Point Club, becoming the 20th player in school history to score 1,000 points in her career.

The Frogs shot a season-best 53 percent from the field and a season-high 85.7 percent from the free throw line. It marked the first time the Frogs have shot 50 percent in a game this season and first time since a 54 percent effort against Sam Houston State last season.

Taylor Robertson led OU with 16 points, but TCU did a great job guarding her from the second quarter on, as she totaled 12 points in the first quarter, but just four points over the next 30 minutes.

TCU won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding the Sooners 33-29 and beating OU in second chance points, 13-2.

TCU moved to 3-0 through its first three Big 12 road games for the first time in program history and the first time to win its first three conference road games since the 2010-11 season.
