Team Notes


* TCU played on the road for the fifth time in a seven-game stretch.
* The Horned Frogs won their third consecutive game in Lubbock, their longest streak in program history.
* Since TCU began Big 12 play in 2012, the road team has won six of eight games in the series between the Horned Frogs and Red Raiders.
* Over the last six seasons, TCU's 52-24 overall record and 33-19 conference mark both rank second in the Big 12.
* TCU led 27-16 at halftime. The Horned Frogs are 137-19 under Patterson when ahead at the half.
* The Horned Frogs had 549 yards of offense and held a 43:26 to 16:34 edge in time of possession.
* TCU was plus-2 in turnover margin and is now 115-16 when ahead in the category since 2005.
* TCU ran for 226 yards and is now 95-8 when rushing for at least 200 yards under head coach Gary Patterson.
* Patterson is 5-5 as a head coach versus Texas Tech.
* Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU is 4-4 against Texas Tech.
* TCU is 43-17 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
* True freshmen defensive end Colt Ellison and linebacker Wyatt Harris were in the starting lineup. Both played last season at Aledo High School.
* A sack by Terrell Cooper gave TCU at least one sack in 77 of its last 80 games.
* TCU scored for the 343rd consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
* For the second straight game, TCU's team captains were Ross Blacklock, Cordel Iwuagwu, Jalen Reagor and Garret Wallow. Wallow has been a captain each game this season.
* TCU wore a purple helmet with a white jersey and purple pants.

Individual Notes



Offense
* Max Duggan totaled 398 yards of offense. He passed for a career-high 323 yards on a career-best 25 completions on 42 attempts with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He added 75 yards rushing on 18 carries, including a 20-yard touchdown.
* Duggan’s 20-yard scoring run on the game’s opening series was his fifth rushing touchdown of the season. He has run for a score in four of the last five games.
* Duggan’s 55-yard scoring strike to Jalen Reagor marked a career-long completion.
* Duggan’s two scoring tosses give him at least one touchdown pass in nine of 10 games this season. He has five games with at least two touchdowns in the air.
* Reagor’s 55-yard touchdown catch was the 22nd of his career, tying him with Josh Boyce (2010-12) for second place on TCU’s career list. Josh Doctson is the leader with 29 (2013-15).
* Duggan’s 55-yard completion to Reagor was TCU’s longest pass play since a Grayson Muehlstein 65-yard scoring toss to Reagor at Baylor last season.
* Taye Barber had his first career 100-yard receiving game with career-best totals of eight receptions and 137 yards.
* Artayvious Lynn’s 4-yard first quarter scoring grab was his first career touchdown.
* John Stephens Jr. tied a career-high with three receptions for 40 yards.
* Quazzel White made his first start at right guard. He started at left tackle in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Defense
* Wyatt Harris had his first career interception.
* Terrell Cooper had a sack for the second consecutive game.
* Colt Ellison had a career-high four tackles.
* Vernon Scott had a team-best five tackles and a forced fumble.
* Trevon Moehrig had his first career fumble recovery.

Special Teams
* Jonathan Song’s field goals of 36, 28, 25 and 20 yards made him 21-of-22 on the season and 38-of-42 in his career. He is 37-of-38 on attempts 40 yards and in.

That's pretty amazing.

And how many shutouts have we given since Nov. 16, 1991? I was a senior in high school the last time TCU was shutout in a game.
