No one on this forum wants this fixed even 2% as much as GP does

People that have said that GP is just overrated and won’t get it fixed are flat out wrong.

while you will be getting your 6-8 hours of sleep per night this week and dealing with your family issues, GP and his staff will be in the office 20 hours/day and then have a break for recruiting.

Are there TONS of issues to fix? Yes.
But 2 years ago we were in Big 12 champ.

last year we were down to the 5th string QB and the starter supposedly never watched film and the best returner got kicked off the team midway through the season.

this year even there were those on here who thought this could be the best defense of all time, the defense is trying to replace 3 NFL draft picks.

The DEs are not getting it done and at LB Winters has shown flashes but the 2 point conversion vs SMU shows he needs to get stronger in weight room.

Offensively it seems apparent that Duggan is best in an OKST style rapid fire offense. The conservative approach to lean on run game early isn’t working. Hopefully in 2 weeks they come out firing.

BUT while you and I may spend even 2 hours today thinking about TCU football, it’s not even close to what all these coaches and players are doing. Especially when there’s a HISTORY of recent success.

Unfortunately, I read your post as a regurgitation of a lot of the same distraction excuses.

1. Myth: DE's are young and need more pressure.
Reality: The world has changed. QBs that are successful in the new offenses throw quick hits to the WRs before a DE even has time to be successful. Further, if your DL sucks, then reduce the number of people you throw at it...and stop blitzing!!

Solution: rely less on DL to pass rush and reduce the number of DL. Only use 3 DL and squeeze them in tight so you can stop the run. put safeties where outside LB in a 3-4 would be...just a bit wider so they are covering the WR. It looks like an 7 person front, but quickly drops into an 8 DB scenario.

GP Problem: When he goes to three DL, he widens the DE the same as when he rushes 4 and has the ball run down his throat.

Solution: GP needs to watch film of Matt Cambell's defense, or risk TCU hiring Matt Cambell.

2. Myth 2: Our Coaches will solve this because our Coaches spend more time thinking about TCU football than others do.
Reality: Our Coaches need to spend their time improving TCU football, not teaching TCU football.

If GP and Cumbie just continue rehash their old crap, then we will continue to see 2018 redux. They had all offseason to fix these problem, but not one thing has changed. Sewo is the fetured back despite being the 5th best RB on the team. DA is an NFL caliber, and he gets 15 touches and after we fall behind with SEWO we chose to pass when DA is in the game.

Gary's defense are brutalized by balanced offenses.
Cumbie makes the worst personell and play call decisions and the routes are boring and ill suited for success.

They can spend 24 hours a day teaching what they dream up in the offseason, but if it's the dreams are the same as last year, then you're just getting better at being mediocre.

Cumbie has to go. GP needs to look in the mirror, rather than blame everyone else.

GP also needs to relinquish timeouts and end of half clock management duties.

Wanting and doing are two separate things. BTW I think I want this fixed about as much as CGP but not going to put as much effort into it.
