Today was the best play calling I have seen from him since the Arkansas game.

I hate the fade as much as anyone but Pro Wells appears to be just the guy for it and makes it look like a viable play now. Now, if we can just get rid of the wide receiver screen since we have no receivers that can block properly, then I'll be happy.

It does seem to work better with a 6'6 guy instead of a 5'9 guy. Who would have imagined?

I think he called a good game. The fact that our receivers caught most of the balls thrown at them doubtless helped a lot.

Wasn't happy to see the double reverses. Yes, they got us yards each time, but that only makes me fear we'll be seeing more of them, and they will be less successful against better teams.

Not sure if you're thinking of cutting the cord, but YouTube TV will automatically record TCU games (and any other sports team) if you select that you want to follow them. It's pretty convenient.

Limey has a good point: Things worked because Sonny decided to stop hammering the square peg into the round hole.
Play to your strength. Put your players in a position to succeed. Nothing terribly complicated...

I imagine Cumbie for the most part is going to call plays similarly to how he’s done since he started calling them. I didn’t notice anything hugely different yesterday except the plays worked much more often than they did against SMU.

Execution, or lack of it, makes a major difference in how “good” the play calling is.
