So maybe it's time for GP to be a full time head coach and hire a DC.
It’s pretty apparent that GP wants nothing to do with the offense other then throw shade at it...The problem is he sucked at being a DC today

The world is ending. I just agreed with one of your posts.38 is plenty to win. This is on Gary
He wants nothing to do with the offense except for forbidding it to be run the way it’s supposed to be run. Get rid of Cumbie and bring in a David Shaw disciple if he wants to sit on it so his defense can rest and not get smoked so bad. It’s pretty apparent that GP wants nothing to do with the offense other then throw shade at it...The problem is he sucked at being a DC today

I still laugh at our “offensive problems” after putting up 38 points.
At some point you can't blame the OC for the QB dropping the snap.Would totally agree if this same unit wasn’t continually giving points back to the opponent and putting our defense In bad position time and time again.
And.... has proven, in the moment of truth, that they are incapable of winning the freaking game (see last drive. Also see Tech game last year).

Attendance looked really bad on TV.
BS. The same unit that scored 38 gave 10 right back to SMU.
When you fumble the ball away at the three and at the 25 twice, you can't put that on the DThe short field was definitely a major player for SMU today, at least early on.
But they stopped them at the one. Then gave it right back to themYes the fumble inside the 5 put the D in a tough spot. But that fumble wouldn’t have been inside the 5 had the defense not just given up a 13-play, 72 yard drive.
But they stopped them at the one. Then gave it right back to them
How many here would predict a win if I said we would score 38 against SMU today? At least 99%?
GP was schooled today by Dykes. We weren’t ready for trick plays. We weren’t ready for how physical SMU played. We weren’t ready for what seems like half the plays today because it takes so darn long to get our coverages called.
Multiple times today our guys were out of position or looking to the sideline as the ball was snapped and we gave up a chunk of yards.
If you think it sucks to score 38 and lose to SMU, wait til we score 38 in Norman and give up 62! We gotta get better on defense and offense because today exposed them both (and really, maybe the defense more than the offense).
No, it is not. But, it is his fault that we continue to throw the low % fade time after time without a receive that can take the ball away. It is his fault that he can’t coach his quarterback to throw a pass less than four feet over the receiver’s head. It is his fault that fault the on fourth and one we have our bull dozer RB drop back TO THROW A scheissING PASS!!! It is his fault that with a chance to win at the end of the game he call between the tackles runs WITH NO TIME OUTS LEFT. It is fault that we ran a slow moving offense which left smew the opportunity to keep fresh defensive rotating. It is his fault that he didn’t put in a more seasoned QB when he saw the freshman struggling. And, yes GP’s defense sucked pond water for various reasons. They seemed unprepared and bewildered as how to stop smew on third down. They let receivers get past them all day long. They left the running uncovered for a pass all day long. They were on their heels all day long. Part of that is because smew’s O was uptempo, and fresh bodies couldn’t get in. They killed our depth. It's not cumbies falt they fumble
I was thinking the same thing. They were not attacking as much on D. Maybe they couldn't, but that offense of ours cost us. 1 complete pass in a half. Wow.Scoring 38 at home against SMU is pretty uninspiring. Should be in the high 40s or 50s, that’s a terrible defense
And if SMU hadn’t switched to a prevent defense late, who knows
