Club Seats Questions

For those familiar with the club seats...

Food and drink offering/selection/quality?

Any difference in catering quality end zone club versus standard club in the 200s?

Which seats to get in either section? Shaded vs unshaded? Any close enough you could draft some a/c from the inside?

Assume you get happy hour for $5 beer as well?

Thanks in advance... Have looked everywhere but can't get good data. Appreciate it.

Club is over-rated in my opinion. The food is decent but not great and the lines are long and there's a severe lack of seating in the club area. The food quality is not necessarily TCU's fault, it's just that upscale dining for a couple of thousand people and football don't go hand in hand. This year is even more crowded in that the East Side club ticket holders now have access to the west side club (as they should).

Seating is just as miserable at the 11am games in the stands as anywhere on the west side of the stadium as the sun beats down. At 2:30 games, the shade finally comes around 4pm depending upon where your seats are. Add in that many club attendees care nothing about football and are there for social reasons and are constantly leaving their seats for more booze while obstructing your view during important plays and have no clue they're doing so until I not so nicely tell them some people are actually here to watch the game. Only reason have tickets there is because my wife likes it there.

Letterman's Club isn't crowded at all but the food is the definition of average on its best day. That being said, you can eat all you want.

Amen to the above.
Although I only was in the club once- I was amazed to see the food picked over, the lime to the food was long, and very limited seating. I would also bet many in there were staying in the club the entire fame

Maniac, I don’t intend to be confrontational by saying this, but coming from a blue collar “earn your keep” up bringing, you strike me as one of those white collar country club people that you coincidentally bag on all.the.time.

Based on what? I spent the majority of my life in a very middle class family and attended TCU only because I worked my ass off in middle school / high school and got a very good scholarship. I’ve never viewed myself as being all that naturally smart, but I always made up for it by working extra hard.

And it just pisses me off how damn soft our fan base is and how completely incompatible our fan base’s culture is with our football team’s culture. Gary Patterson and our football program has had the success we’ve had by being a blue collar, chip on our shoulder type of program. Meanwhile, our fan base is as fickle and soft as they come. And our stupid stadium, as nice as it looks, just promotes and encourages our pussified culture.

There’s not a seat in the stadium I aspire to one day sit in. The east side is miserable and hot as a mother scheisser. The west side lower bowl (what should be the best seats in the stadium) has become the lamest, most unenthusiastic section in the entire stadium, not to mention the moronic and wasteful golf cart wide aisles. And then next best section section in the stadium is an overpriced, overcrowded country club with [ Finebaum ] food, with people that for the most part, care more about socializing and being seen than they do about watching and cheering for our football team.

Gary, despite all our recruiting disadvantages due to our often pathetic attendance and home field advantage, has worked magic all these years. But after he’s gone, our football program is completely scheissed. Doesn’t matter how much money our fan base has / gives. If we don’t show up to games and actually watch & cheer for our team, we’ll never be able to consistently recruit well. So enjoy things while we can with Gary. Because the majority of my adult life after he’s gone is going to suck ass when it comes to TCU football.

I can respect your opinion of middle class upbringing and your hard work, but I just think we share different opinions on middle class and blue collar. Not that it makes either of us less of a frog.

There will always be ultra wealthy country club seats, middle class seats, and nose bleeds. I was just saying that you don’t strike me as the type to ship on wealthy people for having money. Just seems like a pot meet kettle situation. Apparently I’m mistaken.

I'm all for wealthy people having money and for those that aren't wealthy one day becoming wealthy. I love our country and the opportunity every American has to create wealth through innovation, hard work, and determination. Sure, some have more advantages than others, but that's life. No other country in world provides the kind of freedom and opportunity that America does. So if you're making your assumptions of me base on my political beliefs (which I've also made fairly clear on here), then your assumptions are off. If you're not, then I apologize, but I can't think of anything else you'd be basing them on.

But again, I have no problem with wealth or those that have it. I just have a problem with our pussified fan base's culture and our stupidly laid out football stadium that helps further promote it.

Negative. I just viewed you as privileged and entitled to be honest. After reading all of the whining since I joined the board in like 2013, just figured I’d throw it out there.

I really don’t have a bone to pick, just made a comment that I figured you to be something that you claim you aren’t. So, really no need to continue. My mistake.

Obviously, you just pick this particular mountain to die on.

Edit- the mountain I am referring to is the stadium seating. Not your political views or financial status.

Sorry. I just get especially riled up after having a few margaritas from Gloria’s, which I did tonight.

I get it and like 75% of us get it. We understand where you are on your views and most of us agree, but you’re beating the darning glue out of a dead horse with it, chief.

Dude started a thread for information and you came in off the top rope and RKO’d the whole thing. Lol

LOL. Just wondering if speaking in metaphors all the time is some new hip trend. Have you watched Succession on HBO? That's the only way they speak on that show. (great show BTW). Don't get me wrong, your's are quite descriptive and skilled.

scheissin Del Conte. That’s why you should leave the country clubbing to the country clubs and the football games to the football team. scheiss our country club stadium and country club fans too.

I own two club seats.

Originally I bought them in the end zone so I would gave a comfortable place to take Dad.

When the new west side club opened, Dad had passed but TCU offered a really nice package to move into the west side. So I picked out two seats on the front row about the 27 yard line, middle of the row.

Most of the fans around me are there for the game. However, heat, rain, and cold will drive them inside.

Del Conte was a visionary in that most fans, even those with money, won't pay $1,000,000 for a luxury box but will pay $5,000 plus for two club seats per season.

Is it like the two season tickets I had for Dad and myself under the old deck? No!

Is it more comfortable than the stands? Yes!

TCU maniac misses the point that some TCU alumni want a table with HVAC, big screen TVs, a bar, and country club food.

It's nice.

Most of the club crowd do not want to tailgate at the Delta House Kegger and Hotdog group, but they do want to go to the games, socialise, and support TCU with their money and attendance.

There is no way I'd enjoy a hot, miserable game in the current student section. I'm 60 years old. Tastes change.

So Maniac, enjoy the game today knowing that I'll be in my club seat, hydrating according to plan, and cheering for the Frogs just like you.

Some day, you'll understand why I like my club seats.

Go Frogs!

I don’t think he saying he doesn’t get why some people like the club

I think he is saying that people that want those things over watching the game from a seat should not be given the best seats in the entire stadium since the actual game is not as important to them and you can watch it on tv in air conditioning from anywhere

I agree with him - and I have west side club seats.

CDC should have put the west side club in the 300s or even in the north end zone because it’s a waste for it to be the 200s on the west side

If you see East Side club seats on stubhub, do not buy them!
