GoFrogs: Robinson Joins Kings for Summer League

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU graduate Alex Robinson has been invited to join the Sacramento Kings for the California Classic Summer League.

Robinson will play in the California Classic, July 1-3. The second annual event is a three-day summer basketball showcase with the Kings, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. NBA TV is scheduled to air five of the six games live.

Players from the four teams will include rookies selected in the 2019 NBA Draft, sophomore NBA players and athletes competing to make NBA and G League rosters.

Robinson, a Fort Worth native from Mansfield Timberview High School, was named All-Big 12 during his senior season after averaging 12.5 points, 6.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game for TCU. Robinson finished the season with 254 assists, the most in a season at TCU. He is also the program's all-time leader in assists with 672.

Robinson hopes to join his former TCU teammate Kenrich Williams in the NBA. Williams just finished his rookie season with the New Orleans Pelicans.
