Prayers...

Lettermen's Association:

It is with great sadness to inform you that TCU Football and Track and Field Letterwinner Spencer Sunstrum '82, passed away on Saturday, June 22.

Spencer was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was an active member of his men’s group, Band of Brothers (BOBs). His passion for TCU began as a member of the Football and Track teams and continued on for the rest of his life. Sunstrum still holds the fourth highest High Jump in TCU history at 6' 11 3/4".

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make a donation in memory of Spencer to one of the following foundations he supported:

1. Assist the Officer Fort Worth - https://atofortworth.org/make-a-donation/
Spencer’s 2018 New Year’s Resolution was to support Police Officers by buying their breakfast, lunch, or dinner at every encounter he had. This foundation supports injured police officers and their families. 100% of every donation will go directly towards assisting Fort Worth Police Officers.

2. Investing in Other’s Greatness
As Spencer grew into his faith, he also took every chance to cultivate new and old relationships. This foundation supports at-risk young teenagers with mentorship and positive influences. He recognized the importance of a strong father figure and the impact that relationships can have. This organization was founded by one of Spencer’s fellow BOBs (Band of Brothers). 100% of every donation will go directly towards supporting this mentorship program towards at-risk youth.

Please make checks payable to IOG in memory of Spencer Sunstrum and mail to 851 E Worth St, Grapevine, TX 76051.

Please keep the Sunstrum family in your thoughts and prayers.

Saw some expressions of sympathy on his High School's Facebook memorial page. All good words.

One guy, who was a soph when Spencer was a senior, said Spencer and 1 other guy were about the only ones who worked with the younger guys, helping them catch on and get better.
