If Tech can keep Beard in Lubbock the Red Raiders are going to become a legit contender most years.

The way the guy gets his players to buy in from the top of the roster all the way down is downright impressive. They believe in what he preaches and take their coach’s mentality to the floor with them.

That’s what JD needs. A group of guys that all buy in. The mass exodus shows this was not that group.

You think Tech fans would be rooting for us? No way. They rooted against us in the Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and every college world series I can think of.

Uh ok, 4 years ago. We finished 4-14 and they finished 3-15. In fact, our first 3 years in the Big 12 we were battling it out with Tech for 10th place each year.
