Absolutely disgusting. You couldn't pay me to do that. Who knows what radioactive elements are in the water, or what trash and items have accumulated on the river bottom.

Ha.

Actually talked to a 20 something girl new Ft. Worth resident from Florida at 8:00 am Sunday morning while smoking a cigarette outside my girlfriend's town home in Ft. Worth.

She was complaining about being hungover while letting her dog out to pee.

.I asked if she had stayed in or gone out. She said she was down on the river Saturday. I asked, well which restaurant/bar where you at down by the river?

She said no, we were in the river.

Poof. Mind blown.....had no idea people were doing that.....wouldn't even eat a fish that came out of there.....

And watching live music while doing so...

Pretty cool event if you’re into this kind of music.

The trinity is fine in Fort Worth and no different than tubing in rivers in the Hill Country as far as water quality--now white rock creek/lake in Dallas is very dangerous
Yeah...uh No - not really even close

Sorry - you might convince me to fish the Trinity from a sit on top kayak but no way I am getting my body immersed in that water...

First article says the issue is near Eagle Mountain Lake. The next article points out the issue is past the point of where the activity by the pavilion is taking place.

All rivers and lakes in Texas have pollution. The Gulf of Mexico along the Texas coast has pollution. Hell, even the water we drink has certain levels of pollution that is acceptable to Texas and Federal authorities.

The bottom line is that on this issue there is a dividing line between old and young. Older you are the more likely one is to say no way because of old thinking of the Trinity. Time to come into this century and see the new day or you can continue to be afraid and say get off my lawn.

What an odd distinction. Old and decrepit people enjoy the safety of their swimming pools, while the young and adventurous like to swim in the Trinity River.....

I know a few Millenials that wouldn't put their big toe in the Trinity River.
