Mansfield (TX) Legacy defensive lineman Taurean Carter is a name TCU fans should get acquainted with this recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defender is one of the top defensive linemen in the state and is currently ranked as the No. 49 strongside defensive end in the nation. At the moment Carter holds offers from Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Houston, Michigan State, Colorado, Florida and Minnesota among others.

TCU could be next on that list.

Not sure it is a waste. If he can't qualify, what have you lost?

Problem for coaches is, when things are up in the air, how do you plan. With DT's, they are so rare, it isn't such a factor, because you can't get enough of 'em to start out.

I can't rermember a year when we were so strong at DT. Still, you know we would have taken another last class, had he been available. It is just like QB's and coaches, almost. Not many can do it.
