The Chancellor's Spring Greeting (http://www.chancellor.tcu.edu/greetings/spring2014/default.asp) is full of renderings of new and renovated TCU facilities.

First up: Lupton. The indoor facility image is old news, but the (albeit blurry) master plan sketch is new.

I had science classes in Winton-Scott and 1 accounting course in Rogers (or whatever the b-school building was called), but those were the only times I ever crossed University (for school purposes) except to go to the Library.

Humanities majors -- I think every course I ever took in the humanities had class meetings in either Reed or Sadler, or the music building.

Different world for today's students.

New Worth Hills Multi-Purpose Center. Construction begins May 2014. This is essentially a Student Center Light--dining, study space, lounges, meeting space, etc.

Here you see a revised Worth Hills master plan rendering with the 2 new residence halls, currently under construction hall, 2 future dorms, future multi-purpose facility, future Greek houses, and future parking garage:

Lastly, updates on 2 academic buildings and 1 residence hall currently under construction and slated to open this fall:

Rees-Jones Hall is an interdisciplinary academic building that will house Multi-use classrooms and the TCU Energy Institute. This is the east facade, as viewed from the front of Tandy:

And here's an overhead image of Rees-Jones from 11/13:

The Bass Hall expansion is connected to the north side of the existing Bass Hall. This is the new north side:

So you kids are getting another ward or two, a baseball field and an indoor basketball facility, complete with lights (finally)?

Way to go!

LOL

Baylor only began thinking about upgrading their facilities long after TCU had completed much of its work. You may not have noticed but Drayton McLane Stadium is still miles away from completion and a majority of Baylor's student housing is reminiscent of old slasher films.
