Ever heard of Mercury Morris or JJ Taylor? Yes, there is room in the NFL for someone his size and with his talent.

Mercury Morris? That’s over 50 years ago and with out looking up his size I’m willing to bet he was a lot bigger than Turpin. Not a great or even relevant comparisonEver heard of Mercury Morris or JJ Taylor? Yes, there is room in the NFL for someone his size and with his talent.

It's the NFL. Every team has 10+ guys who can catch Turpin.Yeah, but they gotta catch him first, before his size makes a difference... no small feat.
Pardon the pun?Yeah, but they gotta catch him first, before his size makes a difference... no small feat.
J J Taylor is 5’6”, and is a return specialist for New England. Yes, Morris was a very good small player 40 years ago, and Turpin has had success playing today’s game. I don’t know if he could be a star in the NFL, just like you don’t know that he couldn’t. The question was, does he get an invite from the NFL. My point was that a small man can and has played in a big man’s game. Tell Murray he is too small to be a QB…mercury morris played over 40 years ago, the game has changed just a bit and who is jj taylor?
he is quick, but don't confuse his quickness for the speed of hill of miami because if he was that fast the nfl would have overlooked his off the field issues just like they did with hill
as far as getting invited to camp, it could happen, possible kick returner, but has he learned to run routes because once again the defenses he will face are a bit better than who he is opposing right now.
heck, he faced better defensive backs in college

Dante Hall is who he most reminds me ofIs there any non-kicker in the NFL as small as he is? He's obviously got the physical ability outside of the size to do it but I can't remember ever seeing anyone succeed in the NFL at that size.
Watching him try and tackle people on punt and kick coverage would be funny. With new tackling rules he could be a slot receiver. Can he take getting hit by NFL linebackers safeties for a whole season? His best chance is special teams returner and perhaps covering punts and kickoffs as a gunner. I hope he gets a shot that is what USFL is for. Turpin Time!!
Or Rudy Ruetigger? That dude was five foot nothing, a hundred and nothing. Had miles and miles of heart. Do you believe in miracles?Ever heard of Muggsey Bogues or Eddie Gaedel?
