IIRC, much of the mineral rights on the 6666 are part of the TCU's endowment through the Mary Counts Burnett legacy.
For those who aren't aware, (Deep works 4 TCU & has for many years.) Deep was one of the early investors in KFC although he isn't saying much, when he does post, it usually comes first hand.

This show is so good. Yellowstone is a pile of garbage, glad they pivoted and gave us something good with 1883.

The 6666 ranch spinoff should be good too. Ive spent a good amount of time out there.

Correct, per her Wiki, “Her maternal great-grandfather, Captain Samuel Burk Burnett, was a rancher.[6]

Not sure where you are seeing that but Mary Couts Burnett was Samuel Burk Burnett's second wife. She left most or maybe all of her fortune to TCU and the school still receives a substantial portion of the royalties from Burnett Oil.

Quite a sordid story behind that marriage.

all beth or jimmy all the time
When they sent Jimmy south that's when you realized they were priming him for bigger things. The kid does hv some talent and probably cash in some checks in the future. FYI he's from Boston and when he goes home so he says, he's got to come out of the Wrangler's and boots into the eastern style.

no one gives two [ Finebaum ]s about jimmy but sheridan and the network people

even my wife admitted yellowstone has gone full blown grays anatomy in terms of jumping the shark though i would say more sons of anarchy since taylor was on that series
