I was just coming to post this. His daughter is an acquaintance and lives in my neighborhood and she just posted a tribute on FB. They had a rocky relationship, but there was still strong feelings

He had a troubled life at times. The music industry can do that to people. When he finally got it back around, he got the diagnosis.
He was a very talented guy. Great singer. Peace for he and his family.
