Count me as shocked. I've always assumed A&M was the poster boy for recruiting integrity *sarcasm font*


The NCAA ruled that Jimbo Fisher “failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance because of his personal involvement in the recruiting violation.”


The NCAA announced on Thursday that the Texas A&M football program violated NCAA recruiting and countable athletically related activity rules. The infractions took place during a period between January 2018 and February 2019, according to the NCAA Committee on Infractions.

The NCAA determined that Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher and an assistant had impermissible recruiting contact with a prospect. It also ruled that activities during spring and summer periods went over the allowed amount of time by seven hours...

Looks like most of the penalties have already taken place. Although the $5,000 fine will get their attention.

...aren't we currently on probation too? Glass houses, and all that.
We also lose games sometimes. So are we also not allowed to ever make fun of some other team for losing a game?

The glass house thing is pretty much an endless cycle where all we can ever do is run around with a stick up our collective ass while we talk about how terrible we are at everything. Which come to think about it is pretty consistent with just about every game thread on here and 95% of other threads. So carry on...
