DMN: These TCU, Dallas Baptist students are playing for the Frisco RoughRiders this summer

College players from TCU and Dallas Baptist University have claimed nine spots on the Frisco RoughRiders’ roster, as the minor league franchise prepares to field a temporary Texas Collegiate League expansion team while pro baseball is on hold.

The roster for the RoughRiders’ inaugural collegiate team, which was just revealed this week, also includes alumni from Dallas-Fort Worth area high schools Allen, Arlington Heights, Burleson Centennial, Godley, Mansfield, North Crowley, Prosper and Southlake Carroll.

Pitchers
Harrison Beethe, Texas Christian University, Arlington Heights High School
Riley Cornelio, Texas Christian University, Pine Creek, Colorado
Jacob Meador, Texas Christian University, Burleson Centennial High School

Infielders
Bobby Goodloe, Texas Christian University, Godley High School
Tommy Sacco, Texas Christian University, Perry, Arizona

It's gonna be a solid league. TCU will have players on several teams I believe. I know Perez, Krob, P Brown, and Shepherd will be in San Antonio. I would recommend checking out a game for sure. Especially at the minor league parks.

I was out running some errands last Saturday. Made an unplanned stop to watch a few innings a coach-pitch little league game.

That's when I realized how much I've missed Frog Baseball this year.
