Desmond Bane looks back on storied TCU career, begins NBA Draft preparation
Scott Procter, Richmond Palladium-Item
RICHMOND, Ind. — Desmond Bane admittedly took a leap of faith four years ago when he left Richmond for Fort Worth, Texas and the only power five program to offer him a scholarship.
When Bane graduated from Seton Catholic — where he averaged 30 points per game as a senior and totaled more than 1,900 points during his prep career — and began his collegiate journey at Texas Christian University, he said he did so without knowing what he was getting himself into. Raised by his great-grandparents, Bane said it was hard leaving his family back home.
